Wisconsin checking in
« on: March 20, 2013, 04:51:07 AM »
The ground Hog said we were going to get an early spring.  If I could find his burrow I would drag him out and use him for target practice.  It is like the middle of Janurary here instead of being the first day of spring.  It was down in the teens this morning and last year at this time it was in the 80's.  Oh by the way my name is Danny.  Used to hunt but gave it up about 6 years ago when my wife died of Picks Disease.  Sold my hunting retreat when as a last resort had to put her in a nursing home.  I am now remarried, still love to shoot, love to reload, and especially love my single shot Thompson Centers. 8)

You must be in Southern WI, because it was almost zero in the North and welcome Danny.

Seen about 10 robins in the front yard today looking for food.  Poor pathetic creatures, I think it will be a few weeks before their are any worms crawling around near the surface for them to get.  It is snowing pretty good out their right now.  After the groundhog said we were supposed to have an early spring I am glad to hear Wisconsin is considering opening a season on the critters.

I guess that old Fart group, I would fit right in seeing I was born in 1939.  LOL
