My advice would be to fit one of the newer 1:9 .223 barrels to your SB2 frame... they are cheap to load and can be loaded down to to .22 Mag/Hornet levels or loaded hot with higher BC bullets like the 68 BTHP (etc...) I wouldn't be overly concerned about the ammo/suply shortage... "supply and demand" still drives the economy... there will always be a demand, ergo there will always be someone there to supply it. .22/250, .25/06 and other ought six case rounds get the job done, shoot a little flatter, but they are powder hogs in comparison to the 08' tribe... and IMO not as pleasant to shoot.
