Cannon Fuse?
« on: March 09, 2013, 03:12:51 PM »
Hi. I have a question about cannon fuse. The stickys had a great link to Green Water Proof 1/8" American over 30 seconds per foot cannon fuse.

Well they are sold out and so is all of the INTERNET as far as I can tell. Anyone know of another good quality fuse for cannons. And where to get it online?

My dear friend is desperately trying to find some and is borderline about to just buy anything.

Hes going to use it in a thunder mug and I don't want him to use anything to far under 1/8th inch. Would 3/32 fuse be ok? Would 3mm fuse be ok? Would 28 second burn rate per foot be ok?

Why is the American Fuse so hard to find? Why does Dixie charge a hazard fee while others do not?

Thank you.

Cannonfuse.com has a great selection of cannon fuse.  You can use smaller fuse in the   vent for 1/8" fuse just fine.

Bought mine at Patriotic Fireworks in Maryland. Most fireworks retailers carry it although quality ,ay vary. Patriotic had it in two speeds for those doing timed displays

I had good luck with http://www.pyrodirect.com/  I bought some 3mm china fuse & it was fine in a table top cannon.  They sell USA fuse too.

Dockholidaiy,

I've gotten my fuse from CannonFuse the last several times that I bought fuse, and have zero complaints.
I checked their site and they supposedly have both red and green .116 (between 3/32 and 1/8-inch) American visco available. Burn rate = 30 seconds per foot.

RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.
