Choose your RB mold wisely!

A Solid Sphere is one of the strongest 3 dimensional shape, and will crush the heaviest bones without deforming so easily!


All of you Slug Shooters looking to get into the wonderful world of Round Ball loads, check this chart for fit in wad before you buy the wrong size mold like .690".


Go for .678" Round ball mold instead but sadly Lee does not make one and you are limited to Lyman mold costing almost $100 with handles or $65-70 just the mold.



Hoping it will help some of my Slug Shooter's Family members.

Slug in wad fit / Treat for 20 Ga lover's

Here is a mouth watering treat for all you 20 Ga. lover's looking to cook your own home made slugs that are going to be just as deadly or more!!!!

this hobby is all about having fun, why not go for it, Brother!!


Here is an update on Slug in wad fit:



I find a acute shortage of Lee molds, if you were thinking of buying one then go for it, before they all run out!!
It's happening right now and I find Win. AA12F114 wads going for $16 to 20 now all jacked up prices.
The manufacturers have nothing in stock, strange tho. I'm scared as times are changing fast.

Greetings, I just had to order .600 RB mold from Lee just to see if it would work in a 12 gauge CSD 7/8 Oz wad, yes it fits well without any nitro card like this:

and what is funny that if you do not have that .600 RB mold even the .575 RB fits well too for 12 gauge lovers.
Please note .600 RB in wad is for 12 gauge rifled barrel only or for smooth bore that is over bored, in case of a regular smooth bore go for .575 RB in 12 gauge, you can adjust the OD of the wad a bit as it is a bit snug fit in a straight wall hull by adding 1/32 to 1/16" nitro below the .600 RB in wad.

For 20 ga lover's the .575 RB works like a charm and you can find all the loading data, ranging from 1300 to 1850 fps.
I will be putting 2-.125-28 nitro cards and from now on will also be adding .062 nitro card of 28 ga below the RB to make a total thickness of .312" to raise the RB to a perfect height to help open my 6 point fold crimp, remember that, we are improving!
They are very accurate and deadly!

How do I get to all the information , URL links, in the previous post. Clicking on them doesn't work. I have a .575 RB mold on the way. Hope to start picking up other components. I shoot a slingshot some so the mold will work there also. ear
