Talo Squire
« on: April 05, 2013, 11:05:41 AM »
I have posted this elsewhere on the forum, but got no response.   I think it fits better here.

I recently acquired a 12ga. Modified, Topper that is labeled on the side "Talo Squire."   It has a somewhat nicer finish than normal and the wood, although not attractive (as usual), is a bit less "proud."   By that I mean that it stands up from the metal a bit less than usual.

My question, is: is this gun rare at all?   I have never seen another one like it.   But for all I know there was a million of them made!    It seems very nice and well made.   I have not shot it yet.    Would appreciate any response at all on this "Talo Squire", Thanks, until better pay!

You likely didn't get any responses cuz you posted in the member intro forum, that forum is to introduce yourself,  the H&R forums would be the place to ask about a specific H&R firearm.  ;) Talo is a distributor that buys special edition firearms from manufacturers, the Golden Buffalo Classic being one of their H&R offerings, and a recent offering being the Talo Trappers in 357 and 44mag, and 45-70. As far as being rare, not too likely if it's not marked with a number of so many made, most all of H&R special editions are made in fair numbers, their special edition minimum order is 250 firearms unless it's something out of the norm, then they require a minimum of 500.
