shake hands with the devil
« on: April 14, 2013, 02:35:24 PM »
Caught most of this movie on PBS.  Now I have to find out if it will be reshown, or if I can rent it. 1959 With James Cagney, not the same named movie about Rwanda.  It is a story of the IRA during the "troubles" in 1921.  B & W, really holds your attention.  Apparently the subject matter is not PC, (as it is seldom shown, and seems to be hard to find on DVD.  If you can find it, you will enjoy it.

Haven't found it.  When and if I do, then the question is whether the price is worth it.  I get a kick from all the stuff that was old tat is used as props in old movies, and now it is really old.  And wife and I remember using some of it.

I miss the rental places; mail is not spontaneous enough, and Net Flix has not enough out of the mainstream movies.

The 58 version is a bitch to find and the price was very high before it was sold out when I found the sites.
