Well attended my first match today, didnt' do to terible eigther even with borrowed guns.

Man if I'd known this a few years ago I wouldn't have waited this long to get involved. I had a blast.

Can't wait to the next shoot.

I'm out of Bassfield MS, way out in the boonies.

I still need to get basicly all of the guns, got a good number of cap and ball revolvers, and will shoot them next few matches, but want some of those guns that shoot them new fangled cartiges.

Thinking of a pair of 72 colts or richards mason conversions for pistols and either a henry or 73 winchester for rifle.

Also you might find that some of the pards at the matches have firearms for sale as I've learned that, no matter what, whatever gun I have isn't "exactally" the right one and I need to sell it and get another and at a higher price.

Thanks CR, I'll have a look see.

At the match there was word of a feller selling a custom gun belt and a pair of Vaquerios real reasonable in near new condition. It sounded like a good deal but I'm not a real big fan of Ruggers. Don't get me wrong, they are built like a tank and are outstanding firearms, they just don't fit me. Could probably do some custom grip work and they'd be OK. Got one in 45 I keep for hot loads and back-up for hogs and such.

I'm debating on either an iron frame Henry 1860 or a 1873 Winchester. I know the Winchester is the better gun, but I've always loved the lines and history behind the Henry. Just don't know if the magizine follower would interfere with my off hand and slow me down.
