Got ammo Today
« on: April 23, 2013, 07:35:54 PM »
Got Ammo today!  Was at Sportsman's today when they rolled out a basket full of ammo.  I was able to get two boxes of .223, two boxes of .17 Hornet, 2 boxes of 7mm Mag, 2 boxes of Remington 45-70 for my Trapdoor, 2 boxes of 45 ACP, and a box (1000) Large Pistol primers.  Thought I was going to get mugged before I got to the cash register.  Bunch of people wanted that .223.  GIs from Ft WW are some real preditor hunters, they like going out for Coyotes.  The AR is the gun of choice, and they go through some ammo.  Would really like to get some .22 mag.

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

They had several 375H&H boxes.  Was not interested in any ammo for that monster.  It's going away Saturday.  The only reason I bought that 375 was as an investment.  I let my hunting buddy talk me into shooting it, and he furnished the shells.  Taught me a lesson I already suspected, now I know.  It's going away.

I've noticed in the past several weeks that 3006, 270, 300 Win mag has been common at walmart, inflated prices of course. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

Most of those calibers are common around here, at decent prices. Seems like the shortage hit places differently, local store has had primers of all types for a couple months, and while i don't have my pick of powders, i can find something to load anything with
