Quote from lgm270:
"Hey Guzzi! Ever heard of Sal Castro?
His a "Hispanic" teacher in the LA Unified School District to whom a monument was erected by the Hispanic Community because of his great contributions to Hispanic education.
Know what he did to get his monument? He organized the great "Chicano walkout of 1968" when thousands of "Chicano" (i.e. Mexican) students went on strike and walked out of their class rooms in Los Angeles to protest, "racism", "poverty", "poor academic performance," blah, blah, blah.
The Mexican majority in this town actually erected a monument to some filthy stinking commie whose contribution to their kids' education was to tell them
TO WALK OUT OF SCHOOL INSTEAD OF STAY THERE AND DO THE WORK.
Here is his obit from the LA Times.
http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-sal-castro-funeral-20130425,0,4634711.story What other race of people, besides blacks, build monuments to people who tell their kids that the pathway to success lies in walking out of school instead of staying there and doing the work?
Most of the stories about this idiot say that later in life he changed his views and realized it was better for kids to stay in school instead of walking out of school. It took this "minority" genius a life time to figure out what was instinctively known by every white mother I ever heard of: Stay in school, do the work, turn off TV and read books and do home work if you want to do well in your profession and your life.
Here in LA when the Mexicans don't like something, they have a school walkout. I guess this is less destructive than the blacks who try to burn something down to make their social statement.
And yes....Hispanics still blame dirty rotten white racists for their poor test scores, their pregnant 13 year olds, their gangbangers, and all the other social problems they brought with them when they ran away from Mexico...that great national success story from which they flee to white America for a "better life."
Ah, I believe the above is known as a time honored American tradition called public protest. I am suppose to have a problem with that?
