Police identify man whose body found in chimney  Associated Press Posted on May 3, 2013 at 8:03 AM
Updated today at 8:34 AM       LONDON (AP) — British police have identified a man who was found dead in the chimney of a law firm.
Police on Friday said the death of 42-year-old Kevin Gough was not being treated as suspicious. The British press said he was a suspected burglar, but police would not comment pending an inquest.
The body was found earlier this week in a chimney in Derby, 130 miles (210 kms) northwest of London. It is believed it had been there for a number of weeks.

I'd say he was well smoked.  They say smoking can kill you.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

I like the "not suspicious".  You read that all the time about bodies found in trunks, rivers, all the places you expect to find one.
just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they are not watching you

Would be quite a shock for the would be thief to successfully slide down 30 feet of chimney only to come to stop against a closed(or open) cast iron damper. What a way to go    :o

I can understand a crook using a chimney to rob a place, and I can understand that the body has been finally identified. The really interesting part of this story is missing. How did they find the body? Was this a W-T-F moment for a chimney sweep, or was there an odor that tipped them off.

Yeah no doubt, it would be a shock for whoever found the body, and probably not a fun job to get it out. :-\

Still can't imagine being trapped in the flue for days, arms above your head, can't move, screaming... :o
