he probably could have gotten in. Getting a TS clearance (or TS-SPECAT) might have been bumpy.
The Navy prefers not to put community organizers on ships or submarines. It is harder to get a security clearance in the Navy than in any other service. If they had let him in what would they have used him for? What possible value could he have?

  You said it..can you imagine a "community organizer" on a ship, say nothing about a submarine?  ;D ;D ;D   If he were to revert to his old rabble-rousing actions, it could get interesting.  If on a submarine..he may end up being ejected from a torpedo tube... ;) ;D ;D
