Favorite .35 cal rifle bullets

What does everybody like in .35 cal rifle bullets? I have used the RCBS 200, the Saeco 250 and an NEI that runs about 280.

Anyone had good luck with the Lyman 358318 200's? I saw a four cav. the other day at a very good price but did not buy it, mistake?

It usually is a mistake to pass on a "good deal"! If you can't really use it ,you can get more back in a trade.I know!! I've made a few of these mistakes myself! I have the 358318 and 358315 along with acouple others. The 200 grain bullets are mean coming out of the 358 jdj,haven't got to try them at 100 yds yet(weather&range repairs). Have not tried to chrono them yet either.they make great light plinking loads for the Whelen
 and I do not worry about velocity for plinking loads. If I can hit a cola bottle at 50 yds ,it's a good load.

245 gr saeco, LY 38625 are two that shoot well in my guns. LBT 180 fn in the 356 has to be singlely loaded but groups ok. Gianni.

I have a Lyman 358315 two cavity. Adequate, but not outstanding is my opinion. I dislike the lack of a meplat and the amount of unsupported nose seems excessive. Accuracy is acceptable but not tackdriving.

I may be overly fussy, but I am gonna get in on the group buy 180 that's brewing or use the design/order feature of Mountain Moulds to get Dan to cut a 200 grainer that fits my notions.

I have 2-336's in 35 Rem and a 14" T/C. I have the RCBS 35-200 which is my favorite. The saeco 245 works good also. The Lyman 358315 and 318 shoot so-so. A Herters 35-200 PB GC is only good for 50 yard shooting. I like the 358430 195 gr PB much better than the Herters. The 35-200, Saeco 245 and 358430 all engrave the rifling in the 336's. In the T/C they don't engrave unless I load them longer than they will go thru the 336 action.   Mark

I don't know how I missed this post for so long. I have been trying to find a Lyman 358318 mould for about a year or more.  JHALCOTT would you send me samples if I send you $$??? I have a 200 gr. Saeco that works in the 35 Rem. contender for me but I have been wanting a 250 or so for a 35 Whelen project for a long time.  Thanks Wes

and it is also for a Whelen.  I'm thinking of something with considerable bearing surface.  Like leftoverdj suggested, I don't want a lot of unsupported nose.  I had a problem with the 250 gr jacketed Hornady roundnoses keyholing.  They have less than 1/3 of the length bearing surface. The entire 2/3 ahead of the cannelure is tapered smaller than .358.  No small wonder why they are unstable.
