Mold handle option
« on: May 13, 2013, 03:20:32 AM »
I would like to share some of my experience on mold handles and LBT molds. Veral recommends RCBS mold handles with his molds and although they work I have been using a different approach. I use the mold handles built by Jim at Cabine Tree loading products. Jim’s mold handles use an adjustable camming action that locks the mold handles closed. This is really nice as you can set the mold down while the sprue sets up without realizing the tension on the mold. Also while pouring and handling you only need to hold the large round handle instead of squeezing the two handles together. His standard size mold handles fit the LBT 4 cavity molds. This has allowed me to run 2 4 cavity molds at once and also is an aid to arthritic hands. I have zero financial interest in Jim’s products, just passing the word.

My goal in life is to have a carbon footprint the size of Al Gore's. I can be living the good life and know I am not causing global warming. Make Al your carbon standard.

I love it!   These handles should solve the strong grip problem which many encounter with my molds when they are new and the alignment pins are still tight.
