In this video, Admiral James Lyons converses with Lou Dobbs.  The admiral says there could have been F-16s in full afterburner over the scene in an hour.  There was a ready, fully equipped 130 man, Marine, "Force Recon"*, in Sigonella Italy..which could have been on the scene within 2 hours...but they were told to "stand down"!

I'm not sure whether it was a lefty politician, or some official in the Obama regime who made a statement on the tube to the affect that Obama and company had made the decision that they did not want to irritate the rebel factions in Libya and other muslim countries with American military intervention.  That policy was what they decided to employ in the Benghazi affair.  How's that working for them now?  How would it have worked after 9-11?  Some here believe that it is the right policy.  Maybe so, but as much as we might like to stay out and mind our own business, it never works for very long and always ends with a very bad result.

America has arrived at a time in history when other nations and people no longer fear our might. They now know we will not attack in force under many conditions in an effort to not be seen as bullies. It is the concept of politically correctness run amuck. It will take a great leader to sort things out , it may take a leader who allows the military and intelligence agency's to sort things out and heed their advice. When we go into say Iraq we are fighting insurgents in another land and must respect the non combatants and govt. Our military respects that position and does a good job. But when our country is attacked we should not hold back we should destroy those who made the attack, those who funded the attack and those who may carry on the fight. Showing weakness and indecision has not worked. We should have had troops on the ground as soon as possible if to late to stop the attack then secure the area and remove bodies but secure it.

The President violated the Constitution and committed murder by ordering the execution of US citizens abroad without due process. No impact.

It will soon be demonstrated that the President directed the IRS to hassle and interfere with opposition organizations prior to the 2012 elections. There will be no impact.

Why would you possibly imagine that abandoning US military personnel and an Ambassador to their deaths to avoid political inconvenience might have an impact?

You have yor head stuck somewhere, lets just say its in the sand! I listened to the testimony of the second in command of that embassy, he certainly found improprieties, and testified to them. If you wont admit the truth, you stand in the no credibility line. Its OK to back your guy just accept the truth when  it is given to you under oath. Thow dost protest to much!
