PICS OF M28 HARD CHROMED
« on: March 02, 2013, 08:42:50 AM »
Accurate Plateing did the work.
In a S&W safety check they found and corrected a bent yolk, end shake & a timeing issue.
They did a double action trigger Job.
They put a red insert into the front sight.
They did a brushed Hard Chrome.
All work was better that I expected and I expect a lot from a Smith.

Looks really good. Let us know if the plating holds on the cylinder face and forcing cone with mag loads.

So far so good---It will discolor the face and cone but should clean up if I do it after shooting each time----knowing me---Not !
I just really don't care for the dark blueing/black of the M28 and I do like HC.
I am having another bobbed and shiney blue and then another with a very shiney blue.
The think about this is it makes the black rubbers on it look really good---though I am getting some new stocks for it.

I like the look on this one. The plating will most likely stay on those areas with it being 357. The cylinder on that 28 won't stretch with a hot load.

William I like it, and when some nice wood grips go on it I will love it, I was never a big fan of Pachmayer grips for looks, but they do take the sting out of hot loads.  Jim

Sure Oldshooter, the more the merrier.  Would you like to bring the brewskies or the baked beans?   Or do you have another specialty you'ld like to bring?

Oh, and don't forget to bring your BBQ gun(s).  There will be some show and tell and maybe a little plinking too.

??? Are you saying the Hard Cromed 28 is a dowery?
Or that it is hers and if we want it we have to deal with her?

We were talking, last night, planning a shoot while she is off for spring break, about this conversation---she told me once again, "IT is not your gun to sell Daddy!"
