Well check out the rossi form and then get your Milk straight from the Cow so to speak.

The rossi is not over bored like the  Marlins , so 458/ 459 Dia bullets do the job and you do not need to look for 460/ 461 Dia lead in order to get them to shoot .
These guns may need a few adjustments like any other gun made and it is all spelled out for you on the Forum

I bought a 92 Rossi this spring . These guns too have some little pains , but most after a bit of cleaningI was very happy not having to do anything more to this gun.

I would not blink twice buying another Rossi .
Happy

The Rossi is hideous and cheap looking.  The Marlin will shoot any lead bullet right out of the mold.

Yep hideous and cheap looking ????

Hardly, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
My 45.70 Rio Grande was slick right out the box and I have shot 10 shot ragged one hole groups at 50 yards. It is finished very well for a budget Rifle. The outside of the Rifle is well polished and the Blueing deep and even. If I chose to refinish this Rio Grande I believe it would come up looking better than my pre Remington Marlin M94
I use Remington Brass, ADI 2206H powder and the Lee 405 gr hollow base Proj. Mild Trapdoor Springfield level loads. A 405 gr lump of lead at 1450 fps does everything I ask of it
I have since bought and fitted a Skinner Front Sight and a Skinner Express Rear Sight
I did send it back on a warrantee claim as I experienced some failure to Fires. The Rifle was given the once over, new Hammer Spring, check Headspace and it is fine now. At the time I was impressed with the Rossi Distributors Service. The Rifle operates flawlessly now and just as with my Rossi M92 am very very impressed with it

Buffalo Bore lists the Rossi as approved for their ammo, Garrett doesn't.
