just came in a while ago from
changing a riding mower tire.
soaked with internally generated snow.
 about 85 degrees F 67% humidity.

last year at the outpost, i was listening
to noaa and they called a 110% humidity.
i listened till they repeated because i
thought i heard wrong.
how can that be?  (although it sure felt like it)

EQ, I sure hope things turn around for you. Here in NW Ohio, we've had some pretty good weather. Not to much rain, a little cooler, but not much,(makes Al Gore mad). Good outside working temp. Good Luck  gypsyman

The lawn has been mowed once this season. Should have been twice but rain and schedule didn't come together.

After last year and the earliest spring in memory this just rips it.

I know better than to complain about rain, but.  Twenty odd inches of snow/rain in march and April and over 9" of rain this month... Weatherman prognosticator of doom just said this week will be wet wet wet.

An excess of moisture can cause as much damage as a drought alright. Odd weather .

39 degrees this morning, touch of frost the two mornings prior, but up to 70 and sunny during the day.
Some rain forecast for the coming week, grass is almost ready for 2nd cutting.

All in all not bad, just getting tired of lighting a fire in the woodstove for a couple hours every morning!

It's mid 80s and sunny here. When I went out to sit on the porch this morning about 7:00 it was 60 and sure felt nice. The last week or so I've been turning the AC off at bedtime and opening the bedroom windows. Nice sleeping weather.

We have had less than 1.7" of total moisture this year. 2011 was the driest year since records have been kept for this state and '12 was the third driest. Looks like we will have a new year in first place if this keeps up.

I drove out to a caliche pit this morning to do some pistol shooting without being bothered by anyone. This is ranching country. The pastures driving to the pit looked like lawns that had been scalped in early spring. I lasted until noon and it was 96 degrees. Being down in that hole of white rock was like being in a reflector oven.

I would love to see some rainy days.

Woke up this morning and it was 75 Degrees and humid as heck 68 dewpoint at 5:00 AM.  This afternoon it is 98 degrees with a -2 dewpoint.  Live about 40 miles Northeast of Amarillo Texas.  We have had some moisture but we are lacking right now....might rain they say starting tomarrow but it is probably just a tease and we won't get any. :(   Been near 90 for the last few days and actually a little humidity but not today....it is a dragons breath out there with the 35 mile an hour winds.

Your so right about this panhandle needing rain badly....Ya know I haven't been to Lake Merideth since just before they closed the Marina.....Can't bare the thought of what was once the Jewel of the Panhandle becoming basically a large pond.  I remember when it was 96 ft deep and they called it the Walleye capital of Texas.  Now it is 28 ft and the Golden Algea is going to sterilize it in a few years....Sad...Spent my formative years there, hunting and fishing, worked there every summer from 8th grade thru 12th grade...parents had a houseboat there and I stayed there in the summer....only coming into town once a week or so.

I'm sure not feeling sorry for you guys that are only cutting your lawn for the first, or second time this year.  I've been cutting mine twice a week since February.  And the more I hear about things drying up, the happier I am to live where water is not a problem.

What the heck is rain ?  Haven't seen moisture since Jan.  Only getting about 1/4 of our normal irrigation water and it was 97 yesterday.

The only good thing I can see in this extended drouth is that the swamp cooler is doing a very good job. Had to turn it off around 8 o'clock yesterday evening as it was getting chilly in the house.

We've got plenty of rain and it is windy most days. Need to have heat either all day or at least in the AM.

Mid 80s and sunny, here in the Interior of Alaska.  What gives, two weeks ago we had 3" of fresh snow.  Can't believe we don't have any fires, as dry as it is.

56 degrees with same medium grey, might rain, might not, we have had for the majority of a week or so now.

Fortunately the night time temps in my area have not dropped to freezing so the garden is fine.
