In some manner, some way, some fashion, show her you really appreciate her sticking around for the last 50 years.  Nothing else take her for a walk on the beach, or a walk in the country.

Oh Darn, gotta go.

OK, I'm back.  Luckily she decided to sleep in this morning.  There is a three hour time difference between here and Texas.  Had time to go get flowers, and a card.  William, thanks for posting that this morning.  My little lady is also a June Bride.  It's been 37 for us.  I was just thinking about it earlier this week, then I totally forgot.  Well things are in order now.

Fifty years with the same woman and abuse :D :D  has got to leave a mark on a man. I would have to hang in there/live for almost 20 more years. It isn't going to happen.

Bill, congratulations, and give the better half my regards, She was such a nice and gracious lady when I met her. I figgered you had hired someone to come over so I wouldn't know who you were really married to.   ;D  Here's wishing her better luck and you better looks!  ;)

50 years!  Congratulations.  Two days ago me and my wife hit the 43 year mark.  Like you, William, I wonder why she did not long ago leave me.

Congratulations are in order William!  In a world where so much is "throw away" including marriage, thanks for being a good example.

Congratulations!  May the Lord Bless each of you with many more years together.

My wife and I celebrate 25 in 10 days. I fell in love with her the day I met her and it grows daily.  Still can't believe she's brain damaged enough to feel the same way.

Pure wedded bliss ?!
For sure this is a sign of something. Bliss ? I am not so sure.
Marriage is a hardheaded business and business is a good term. It was a contract !
We came to an agreement---the love feelings pop up now and then but for the most part it is a business. Two people working towards the same goals and determined to make a success of the agreement.
It has proved to be a profitable undertaking for us. We have two children who are independent and doing well.
I keep telling the same story----my wife is the strong one. I was a load, and still am, to deal with. It takes that kind of resolve. Today a marriage is a disposable relationship, not unlike just going steady. It has more downturns than upturns at times and two different people just cannot see eye to eye often enough to make it a smooth road.
It is not love---I am convinced---that make it happen---it is plain old hardheadedness, with an eye on the end that makes it work.
Blessings
