Share your 280 loads

Going to load some 280 for a Rem 700 Mountain Laminated. Have 140 and 120 bullets.  What do you recommend?
Loaded for 280 about 25 years ago, then had a custom Ackley made and gave my son the 280 Rem.  Have 40 rounds of 280 loaded for the Ackley (I just sold the rifle).  These were never fire formed so will still chamber in my 280 Rem but are probably too hot.  Will pull the 140 bullets.  Powder is 4831SC.  Charge was 60 gr.

My only load for the .280 is (I believe) this:

• Nosler 160 Accubond
• 54 gr of H4831sc
• Velocity: +/- 2650 fps

I used this on a Cow Elk last fall. Worked pretty well. Make sure to double check the powder charge.

my go to load in my 280 is the 145 speer hot core and 58 grains of 4831. Dont know what it is about the 145 speer but ive had 4 280s now and all of the loved that bullet.

Lloyd, that would be Hodgden, rather than IMR I suppose at 58 grains.

Sierra 140 game king,rl 22 , CCI 200. I won't put a charge weight, but it's under the max. Fired a bunch of sub 1/2 " 3 shot groups, killed a lot of deer with that rifle. Love the 280.
