Dadgone it all---now I got to go back and re-read this thing----I'll give ya'll a ring when I figger out what we were talking about.
I got the .41 mag----I like it----was there something else I was supposed to do ?
 ??? ??? :-\ :-\ :P :P :P :P :P
Blessings
If you have the 41 and like it, then why do you want to go to the 44 mag?  Unless you are walking around in Grizzley country you really do not need the horse power of the 44 Mag.

If you want another N frame then, simply pick one you want and fill it woth 44 Specials.   But the 44 Special is equal in ballistics to 45 Colt.  Heck I saw 230 grain JHP loads in Bass Pro for the 45 colt loaded by Remington if you are looking for a SD load.  And your 41 mag is almost double the horse power of the 45 colt or 44 Special.  Heck when you watch Magnum force you learn that he used Remington 44 Specials Lead 200 grain Hollow point wad cutters (Keith bullets).  They were ballistly over sold, but boy were they comforatable to shoot and acurate.  (I lost my reloading space in the last move so I am limited ot factory loads now)  I wish Remington would bring them back.  But the 246 grain Round nose 44 Specials are easier to get into the gun for steel shoots with the speed loaders.

Winchester loads a 210 grain Silver tip in 44 Mag that is equal in power to the 41 Mag and is not the wrist twister that the hunting loads are.  But it is expensive and hard to find.

Since I have had a 44 Mag since 1991, and for a long time it was my only center fire.  I have purchased almost every loading made for that gun as well as rolling my own target loadings for different target games.

If you did not have a 41 and a 45 colt I would say get the 44 as it can do what the other two can do combined.  The 44 can go from Special to loadings that will bring down a T Rex.  But the last time I was in Huston, it was not Jurasic park and I did not notice big bear poop that would justify the 44 mag hunting loads to be carried daily.  If you need the hot loads then simply order the hot +P loading for your 45 colt N frame.

Unless you find a model you like (barrel length, alloy material, sights round butt or square butt) or get a really good deal, you do not need a 44 mag.  With that said, a Model 329 with the light weight frame in 4" with the fiber optic sights loaded with 180 or 200 grain hollow point specials would make a great daily carry gun.  Especally at a good price.  Ballistics like a 45 ACP and the loaded weight of an unloaded  K Frame, and the smooth easy trigger of the N frame.
