Obama as pro-gun president, unintentionally

Indirectly, he does seem to be having the effect of growing the "gun culture" in the US. Check out this surprising statistic:

Like anything.
Some people never cared about a gun until they are told they cna not have one.
I never wanted an AR or AK until the Clinton Assault weapons ban.  Till them all I wanted was a few hunting  and target guns.
I now have a few military type rifles and shotguns.
I worked a booth at a shooting fair this past weekend and we had fewer people out but there were a bunch out to shoot a gun for the first time that were in their late 40's to early 60's and wanting to buy.  Many were women

I guess it works the same for ammo. Some big box stores around here, notably Gander Mountain, have greatly increased the sizes of their gun departments. They are advertising them heavily. So times must be good for gun sales. Apparently for ammo too judging by news of shortages.

Conan you must lead a sheltered life. This has been going on since barry was elected the first time. And it started again after his second election with the school shootings. Gun and ammo manufacturers owe barry some big money for his contribution to their fortunes. barry is the best thing for guns and ammo sellers since the end of the indian wars.

Not really sheltered, but seeing 74+ million background checks as a statistic really puts things into context.
