Found another H&R 22cal revolver
« on: April 25, 2013, 01:21:59 PM »
Sometimes with the larger caliber guns i feel like a dog running in circles chasing its tail. the chances of finding something is slim to none. But the older 22caliber revolvers are keeping me busy in between. I found another H&R premier 22lr, top break 7 shot revolver of course in nickel finish too. Im hooked on these older revolvers in 22 caliber besides the 38 S&W and 38 special too. These little 22cal revolvers seem way too affordable  pass up. Does anyone else like these too?

These are still out there  we stay looking. My permier is dated really early 1900's.  Lately the h&r  922, 923 and 999  have been showing up.  This h&r premier revolver was manufactured from 1908 to 1913.
Its a break top revolver too plus a 7 shot and in my kick butt nickel finish too.

My wife has a 999 that I made grips for over 35 years ago. The grips were too fat for her hands--so I made some slimmer ones. The orginal grips look like new--but then they should--they were only used for a very short amount of time. The gun shoots real good.

They seem to be decent revolvers way cheaper than a colt or s&w but will do the job.

I have a 6" 922 that was somebody's tacklebox gun, a 4" chromed 923 that's a family inheritance, and a 999 that was given to me for parts.  The 923 has been a reliable, accurate, plinker for many years.  Get 'em while you can.

I have inspected it and found it works in sa & da ok. but after its fired and i let off the  trigger  the cylinder can free wheel is that common in a 1895 h&r premier 22cal revolver? the locking cam seems to drop inside the frame till the trigger is pulled again.
