Well I hope you enjoy it. Avoid dirty Remington ammo whenever possible. lol Barring that, mine's been a gem since I bought it in 1986. I have killed more squirrels, rabbits and pop cans than I can count with it too.
I've taken offhand head shots at 50-70 yards on squirrels many times. The only .22 I have that's more accurate at that range is my very heavy Marlin 25 bolt action with a 3-9x40 mildot on it.
In my testing, the CCI Minimag HP's are the best accuracy and hunting hit. I recovered one from a squirrel I shot in the head coming at me and it ended up just under the skin in his rump. It had expanded to about .38 caliber and had one piece that was barely attached after going through his head and many vertebrae and ribs. Really good ammo if you can find it. I limited out in 40 mines with mine opening day last squirrel season. Picture below is after getting my 5th for the morning. The only bad thing is I had nothing to do after getting them all so quick, so I cleaned 'em and went fishing.
