Anyone seen an ultra comp for sale lately?
« on: June 07, 2013, 03:31:01 PM »
My little girl shocked me this past week. She said she likes shooting the 308 handi way more than the 270 UC. So I Need a price check. Been looking on GB and searched here but can't find a price. Anyone have any suggestions on a blonde 270 uc? Not sure I am going to sell it right now, she's a girl and they are known to change their minds

Why not just send it in and get a 308 barrel added for about $170?  Blond 270 UC don't show up often used.  I'd keep that one.

I'm not sure if I will keep it or sell it down the road. I have a 308 on a youth that she was shooting. I had loaded some lite 150 gr rounds and she loved it.

Everyone of our group that shot the .270 and then the .308 FELT the .308 kicked less. Both of these were bolt action guns , not the same model, and differences in the stock design ect could be part of the problem. But nine out of nine people agreed it felt like the .270 kicked harder. Add that to a youth stock that probably fit her better and downloaded ammo and bet that's the reason she liked it more. Put a .243 barrel on that youth stock Handi and I bet she falls in love.

She has always loved shooting the 270 uc and still does. She just surprised me when she said (and shot) the 308 better. She loved it with the lite loads.
