Question about Red Dot?
«

I want to load some low velocity 12 gauge with about 1 oz of shot at about 1100 fps velocity. My problem is that my local dealer only has Red Dot in stock and I've heard that is not the best for reduced loads. I have a little Unique left but precious little of it. I've also heard Green Dot would be best but can't find any within 150 miles of me and I don't want to pay shipping and hazmat fees. Suggestions please?

Don't think you can do it with red dot. My Lyman manual shows 1280 fps with 19 grs. red dot, winchester hulls, double a wads and 209 primers. You are right green dot is the way to go.

Not what I wanted to hear but thank you so much for letting me know. Just have to wait for some Green Dot to show up some where near me.
