Black powder kits online?

I was wondering how good those black powder kits that are sold online? I see some simple ones enough for 1lb and they say no ball mill required and there are these other ones that make about 10lbs of BP but say they use red gum if you don't have a ball mill. Are any of these kits worth it? I don't have a ball mill right now so just looking at my cheapest options.

I use self-made bp for my bp rockets, as commercial bp burns too fast.  However, when it comes to bp arms, I only use commercial.  There is definitely a learning curve when it comes to self-made, so I urge extreme caution to beginners.  Do a lot of homework first before trying to do your own.  A good place to start is Skylighter; they have a lot of information on their website.
