I have just added another ruger as well. I came across a M77 Mark 1 in .308 with a heavy barrel that had never been fired. I bought it, stuck a 3-9X scope on it and went out to start shooting it in and wasn't I upset when it shot MOA without any tuning!!!!!!!!!!. the only sad thing is that it took me 10 weeks to get my Permt to Purchase processed here in Australia. The other sad thing is that it is so damn hot here in NSW (OZ) that it is too hot to go bush.

regards

Spent the last 3 nights polishing up the innards on my wife's stainless Single Six.  Shortened the trigger pull and made it crisp.  (It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't up to the standards I am used to in my handguns.)

Also just sold a shot-out Savage 110E in .22-250, no scope.  Took the money and $150 and got a beautiful 1989 M77 .257 Roberts with a Leupold M8-4x on top.  Worked up a couple handloads, Hornady 75g V-MAX at 3605fps and Barnes 115g Triple Shock at 2936fps, both shooting under 1.5" at 200 yards.  Sweet little rifle, can't wait to see Daughter #2 shoot it!

Love these Rugers!  I just got a new Ruger Bisley .44 MAG 7 1/2" blued and LOVE it!  It is very accurate, and the Bisley grips tame the recoil.  Groups at 25 yards are a hair over an inch.  Kinda like my M77 MK-II all weather rifle in the acuracy department.  It's in 30-06 and get the same excellent accuracy- slightly over and inch group at 100 yards and slightly over 1 1/2 at 200 yards!  (I let the barrel cool up to 5 min with bolt open between shots).  Congrats on your new Ruger.  In my teenage daughters jargon..."Ruger Rules"!
