Conan,
Defination #2 is what I drink as desert after my regular black coffee.
Back in the late eighties when coffee shops started to show up around here, all were wonderful non-chain shops
, ( Every single private shop is now belly-up due to one of the chains, not only here but some I used to go to in the twin cities which is a metro area of over one million people. I loathe chains) I tried some of the flavored drinks, not just mocha.
At first I though they were great but as time went on they slowly no longer appealed to me.
I no longer even buy the flavored non-ground beans that coffee shop special coffees got me to try, although my sig. other seems to be addicted to Toasted Southern Pecan.
I do however still buy the Mocha version of Hot Chocolate powder that is out there now.
Fleet Farm seems to have one of the best and I have tried quite a few, even the pricey ones women,s junk shops sell.
I often do often modify it though with a teaspoon of cooking cocoa powder (the high priced cooking cocoa do have different tastes) and some heavy cream.
I have a favorite coffee cup I bought at a Renaissance Fest that holds about twenty ounces and just the other day I brewed my self a cup full before hitting the sack, slept like a baby.
