custom encore 270 weatherby mag.

Steve Stratton of Virgin Valley Custom Guns told me he could make me a 26" 270 weatherby mag for my encore, and that he did not see or know of any problems with that chambering for the encore.Would this be a good choice for the encore, I thought it would be harder on the frame than the short mags. They will also build any of the wsm's. Would th 270 weatherby have alot of recoil in the encore, I have shot a regular weatherby 270 mag and it didnt kick as bad as my remington win. 270 :eek:

The weatherby mag should be great in the  Encore as for the frame I have a buddy that shoots a 300 Win mag in an Encore and loves it. I have heard that the short mags are to fat for the size of the barrel and that you can not load them to thier potential without possible problems with the barrel. So beware of that.
