Thermold D. & D. INC. P mag help

Bought 4 Thermold D. & D. INC. p-mags. They were made in Wilson, NC. They feed well but none of the 4 will hold the bolt open on the last shot. My 30 round DPMS, that came with the gun, and a Brownell 20 round work every time. I tried to contact the company but they must be out of business. Any help would be appricated. Thanks, Don

Sorry to hear about your mag issues.   If you have no issues with metal magazines, get some from stag arms.   Their webstore has thirty rounders for $20 each, at least a few days ago they were.    I have five AR mags from SA, and never had any feed or bolt issues.

Don you have the gun in front of you.  Why not install an empty mag, pull the bolt back and see if it stays.  If not, see if the stop is engaging or not.  I,m willing to bet it will lock open and you will find weak mag springs or misshapen mags.  I've had some thermold stuff in the past but they all ended up in the trash.  P-mags work but they are the only plastics I know of that will and I don't even use them.

I like the p-mags except for this issue. I have tried pulling the bolt back several times and they don't work. I will probably go to all metal. The p-mags are a little smoother on the edges and seem to be very tough. Don
