Model 12 magazine pin
« on: February 06, 2014, 12:00:40 PM »
I'll have to get a picture later, I can't get the pin on the end of the magazine tube to come out. It looks like the leaf spring is broken that needs to be pressed to get the pin out. Is there any other way to get a plug in the magazine tube or does the end cap have to come off?

It's been quite a while since I owned a model 12 but the cap has to come off and the spring is just a retaining spring. You push the pin in far enough to twist the mag tube around I believe freeing the pin to come the rest of the way out. Then pop off the cap being careful to capture the spring. Then just drop the plug down the center of the spring and reverse the process to reassemble.

I'll give it a try when I have time and my little cousins aren't around
