Not an H&R, but....
« on: February 23, 2014, 10:23:44 AM »
Beg pardon for wandering off topic but I can find almost no info on a gun I bought last fall.  It's a "Rossi r45s", a break action 410/45lc, stainless, black wood stock, apparently never fired and, like the H&R Survivor, has a removable choke tube.  I liked it because it had sights, albeit cheap ones.  I also liked the lacquered hardwood (I guess?) stock and fore end.  Rossi has an archival web page on it with only the most basic information, as it has apparently been out of production for at least 5-10 years.  I've not shot it yet but we lost 6-8 inches of snow over the weekend, so that day is near, we hope.  Anybody know anything about this item?  Thanks.

Don't know too much about them....but that tube is a shot straightening tube, not a choke, as the barrel is rifled for the .45lc.......and allows it to be a short barrel.
Don't shoot a 410 slug or a .45 lc thru it.
If all else fails, I can always shoot supper.

Right.  The tube sits in my tool box.  I bought it mainly to shoot the 45.
