I WAS SPARED THE SUPER BOWL
« on: February 02, 2014, 10:36:23 PM »
I had other obligations so I put it on record. When it came time to watch the score was 22-0.

Thankfully my HD antenna wouldn't pick it up.  We watched old movies on ROKU and then PBS.

You didn't miss much. Most underwhelming SB I think I've eve watched. Even the commercials sucked.

We met at the parsonage and watched with the pastor and family. Lots of fun.
The shot of Eli Manning in the sky box looking concerned as the watched the game
told us a lot of what he saw his brother was up against. Tough Seahawks.

I wouldn't watch it if it was played in the school yard accross the street from my house. No interest at all. Good boxing match i might watch.

I enjoyed playing football. And I like a good football game (which means high school). The reason is that high school football is about the game, and it's simply played.

NFL and increasingly college football are genuinely uninteresting because you have a game that's massively complicated by advertisement. Am I correct to understand that a typical NFL game now takes about 3.5 hours, and the superbowl takes about 6 hours? That's ridiculous.

You guys go ahead and enjoy your sour grapes; this was the best Super Bowl I've ever watched and I've watched them all.  Of course it does make some difference if the winners are from your state and it's your favorite team.  Go Hawks!

magooch is right.  I watched a lot of old Star Trek while the "Seahags" were skewering and roasting the "Barnyard Nags".

I had rangemaster duty from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. When I got home I had dinner, put away everything and crashed. I'd pay more attention to a bad dogfight than watch the superbowl!

I watched Fox News waiting for the interview with Obama they had bloviated all week about and all I saw was  a show bloviating about the interview highlights.
I later found out the interview was on the Super Bowl pre-game show on Fox on the over the air network.

What a moronic deal.

I watched the second half of the SB and was glad it was a blow-out. They had hyped all week how great it was to finally have the best two team in the game for once.

I don't watch professional sports very much.
When one team gets so badly beat as the Colorad Team did, how can that they be one of the two best teams?
