ANYONE HEARD OF THIS?
« on: February 07, 2014, 12:34:17 AM »
Was at a pawn shop the other day and in a glass case was a handi. It was OLD looking and marked 32-20 plus a matching 20gauge barrel with it. Never heard of such a rifle.

What brand was on the gun. Go take some pictures I'm curious also.
Pics of the serial number on the receiver and on the barrel will tell it all.
I don't know of any H&R handi or NEF thats been chambered in the 32-20
unless someone did a rechamber or rebore.
Let us know.

There is no such thing as a Factory Handi .32-20.  It's strictly a custom or stub job.  I'd take a good look at it, and if it works well, not crud encrusted, price OK, I'd grab the thing.  That's a "hard to come by" and a superb rifle to have especially with rimfire ammo so costly.  Ya gotta reload, cause .32-20 factory will put you in the Poor House.  On the other hand, If you get your brass, you can shoot it cheaper than .22LR.  I have two, or else I'd be asking where you found it and grab it myself..

I agree 100%

Never offered factory H&R but many people know how to do such a conversion. If safe and properly done will make for a beautiful handi chambering.

OOH PICS PLEASE!!! :)

IT IS A HANDI!!!!!  It is old looking and seems so worn as if it is an antique. Price was $300 something. Never had them take it out of the case but if I make it downtown I'll ask some questions. MY guess it came in as a pawn from the reservation as they LOVE to cheat ah I mean deal with the natives who come to town.
