Have a card I am happy with to send in to the Postal Match. Just a plain Sportster in .22 LR.

Having heard all the bragging about the accuracy of the .17 HMR, let's see you beat it. You have a week before the deadline and can find the details by searching on the Centerfire Board for "Postal Match".

I'm going to try!    Tomorrow afternoon I hope to take a break from turkey hunting with my nef pardner and shoot some cards with my sportster 22lr and sportster 22mag.  I have the mag all set up with target scope and such since it's been the most accurate between the two, but the 22lr might surprise me once again.  At 25yards it really likes Remington high velocity shorts but I haven't shot them at 50 yards, yet.  And it also likes CCI stingers, go figure, I guess it's a light bullet barrel.  I'll use both win silver and black box ammo in the 22mag.

Only one problem, it's supposed to rain tomorrow afternoon and evening.   :cry:   Oh well, maybe sunday or one evening next week!  I'll get a couple in.

It was to windy to go fishing today, so I got four different brands of 22 mag ammo to test at the range.  The most accurate (by far) was the Remington Premier.  Here's a 5 shot group from 50 yards.  I need to get some cards and some more Rem Premier ammo and head back to the range when it's not so darn windy.  My son wants to shoot some cards with his new 22LR Sportster too...of course that means more ammo testing!

Can I shoot my 17HMR at 50 yards for the postal match too?
