Classic Boys Rifle
« on: February 22, 2014, 08:00:35 AM »
I posed this question in the middle of a thread a few days ago and didn't get any replies, so I'll do it again.

I have a Crackshot #16 now and a Rem #4.  I really like the old single "boys rifles".  I have my eyes out for any of the Stevens Favorites, and a Rem #6.  What others should I keep my eyes out for.  Maybe a Quackenbush, or a Hopkins and Allen.  Not sure if the H&A qualifies as a boys rifle?

I think the Ithaca 49? Single shot lever action drop breech is one cool boys rifle.  My buddy got one at an auction and I've been trying to get him to sell it to me for years.  ;)

ya Scott I agree, since I posted it has come on my radar.  I have model 66's in 410 and 20, a 12 and a model 49 would round it out.  I almost had a model 89 stevens which is very simular.  Just didn't pull the trigger fast enough.
