New receiver/soule sight for my BC

Here's my latest and greatest sight for my BC.  I call it a receiver/soule sight!  It has 180 MOA adjustment for elevation, 10 MOA each way for windage, a 1" eye cup, and "NO EXPOSED SCREWS" that can be dinged up by accident.  That's the only thing I don't like about the vernier and soule sights on the market, so I designed my own.  I made every part, including the adjustment screws with my trusty, dusty Sherline lathe and mill.  Hope you like the pics!!

Other things I forgot to mention---  The sight is based on the Kelley Offset sight, with a soule sight lower.  The reason it's on the left side is, I shoot left-handed.  I'm right handed, but I injured my eye when I was three, and I've been shooting lefty ever since I could pick up a rifle or bow.  At bottom, the sight is dead on at 125 yards, and I use the factory .584 front sight.  With 180 MOA elevation, I can go out past 1150 yards with my trapdoor load.  Can't see that far, but my ballistics program says I can shoot that far.  LOL

Really a very cool, albeit slightly bulky looking sight.  Is it aluminum, brass, and copper?  Was curious as to the weight, also.  I've never really liked the bigger eye cup style aperatures, but with a Merit #4 hunting disk size it'd be pretty cool.  8)  I wonder if you did the upright from steel if it could be a little smaller in diameter.  Very good work though.  It'd be neat to try it out on a range some day.  :)

It's made of brass and aluminum.  The upright is a piece of 1/2 inch 6061-T6, large knobs were 5/8.  Lower was 5/8 round brass, base started as 3/4 round brass.  All other parts were smaller diameter brass or aluminum.  Control screws were turned down from 1/4 inch brass.  The weight is a little 2.9 ounces.  The first one I made was all brass and was 4.3 ounces and had no adjustment screws(manual).  I don't know if you could get a screw inside anything smaller that 1/2 inch.  The sight is only 3.5 inches from to to bottom and 2.5 from side to side.  Oh, and I've tried it on the range, and shot .98 inches, 3 shots at 125 yards.  Shoots great!!!!!!

Nice.  8)  Love the adjustment and such.  If the diameter of the upright could be reduced slightly, would look less bulky perhaps.  Great job though, you make me want to get a lathe.  lol
