Would you have liked it less had it been 10 million dead Canadians?? In regards to Canada.
Of course I did not wish to see any of them die. It wasn't their war. No one was about to invade them. Not in WWI nor WWII
Even being part of the Commonwealth they were volunteers.
OK I wish that Archduke Ferdinand and Wife would not have been assassinated but they were. If a number of mutual support and non aggression pacts hadn't been written that would have prevented WWII. Of course something else could have triggered it.
As you perhaps know, Hitler did serve in WWI, I would rather have had him die than von Richthofen.
