Choate Machine and Tool would like to announce a new buttstock and forend for the NEF and H&R rifles. The New Varmint stock and forend has several new features that are not available with any other stock and forend set for these rifles.
The forend is 2 1/4 inches wide and flat on bottom to give maximum stability when shooting off sand bags. It also has our bipod rail system that will allow you to install and remove the bipod quickly. The forend will fit all H & R and NEF rifle barrels. The price for the forend is $36.95 part # 19-02-08. The buttstock uses our recoil pad and spacer system which allow you to adjust the length of pull from 12 1/2 inches to 14 1/2 inches in 1/4 inch increments. Our standard and tall cheek pieces will fit this stock so the rifle has a  comfortable feel even with the larger objective lens scopes. The cheek piece can be turned around for left hand shooters. The bottom of the stock is also flat for shooting off sand bags. The stock also has an elevation knob on bottom for fine adjustment when shooting from a bench. The price for the stock is $48.85 Part # 19-01-16

thanks Scruffy,i like the looks of the forend but the butt stock does nothing for me.that forend might be a good deal for a bi pod like they said.

The laminate stock on my UV223 is too pretty to replace with one of those.

The UV223 won't be getting one of these, but the stainless .22-250 just might, assuming I eventually get off that waiting list ...
