A Two-for Part II replacement thread....
« on: February 18, 2014, 05:31:47 AM »
Back before the lost server I had posted about the "Two-For" as in two for the price of one......
I had a piece of round stock I was building a cannon with but it was longer than needed and I hate to waste material so I rough turned two barrels for the price of one.... this is the second barrel....

Found the original thread.... http://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/blackpowder-mortar-and-cannon-sponsored-by-seacoast-artillery/a-two-for/

The two barrels roughed out

Before the two were cut apart......

Finished swivel gun the yoke and tiller made by retired Colonial Williamsburg blacksmith....

Set up for boring .......

Starting to drill....

A little bigger.......

The biggest and best for last... inch and a half bore....

Free turning the cascable knob......

Getting there.....

Just needs a little polishing.....

A powder can for scale..... 7 inches long.... 1 1/2 inch bore it should be a nice boomer...

still haven't had a chance to do the trunnion pockets but I am hoping by the end of the week to
have more photo's....
Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!
