Perhaps I said this before, but I really cannot shake the feeling that the intent of this current round of federal expansionism, either by design or not, is leading to the destruction of the 'middle class'. The intent of this,or end result being, to keep the super wealthy, since they can pay off whoever they please to have life the way they want it. Keep the poor classes dependent on the govt., who have no choice but to continue to vote in those who will help them survive the endless laws, rules, and regulations that no one can possibly adhere to. Thus all you have left are the govt workers, bureaucrats, and sycophant political appointees who have no clue as to how legitimate businesses or even farms are supposed to operate.
Another thing that lurks in the back of my mind is that history shows that following income redistribution, nationalization of industry and economy, sooner or later comes 'land redistribution'. Keep in mind also that collectivist farms have never worked in the history of this planet.
