Obamacare is really a spread-the-wealth scheme
« on: February 08, 2014, 12:49:55 AM »
  Recent revelations by the Congressional Budget Office have shown that O-care will cost at least 2.5 million jobs and 1.5 trillion dollars.  This scheme  will raise the income of the bottom 20%, while lowering the income of the rest

    So how does it do that you ask?  Simple; there are fees attached to health care and these fees pay the whole cost.  That lowest 20% is composed of those who make low wages and those who refuse to work. They will have medical care provided, PLUS be paid a subsidy.
  The upper 80% are working and paying into the system and there lies the fly in the ointment.  The people who will be hit the hardest and paying the cost of the subsidies of those who won't work, will be those who earn between $20K and $50K..
   While Pelosi says that the 20% will now be "set free" and pursue their dreams of being an artist, musician, charity worker or whatever their heart desires.  I'm sure those between 20K and 50K would also like that freedom.. but they won't get it!

  Curious corner; it has been estimated that a "single mother" with a couple kids who takes advantage of every benefit offered, can be given up to 60K in cash & bennies.
  Question for Pelosi; How many of those who thusfar have refused to work will be ardently pursuing the arts, music or doing charitable work?

I wouldn't ask Nancy Pilosi for the time of day; she's a moron.

Glad to hear that only those who make between 20k and 50k will be paying the freight.  That leaves me in the clear--right?

Perhaps I said this before, but I really cannot shake the feeling that the intent of this current round of federal expansionism, either by design or not, is leading to the destruction of the 'middle class'.  The intent of this,or end result being, to keep the super wealthy, since they can pay off whoever they please to have life the way they want it.  Keep the poor classes dependent on the govt., who have no choice but to continue to vote in those who will help them survive the endless laws, rules, and regulations that no one can possibly adhere to.  Thus all you have left are the govt workers, bureaucrats, and sycophant political appointees who have no clue as to how legitimate businesses or even farms are supposed to operate.
Another thing that lurks in the back of my mind is that history shows that following income redistribution, nationalization of industry and economy, sooner or later comes 'land redistribution'.  Keep in mind also that collectivist farms have never worked in the history of this planet.

Barrabas;

  This old DVD has been played before.  In the old Russia of 1917, the rabble were stirred up against the 1%.  As recently here they were whipped up into a fury because a few had more material things than they did.  They proved their ignorance by insisting that all the farms, land and industrial production be "spread around" among the people.  Of course the elitist "spreaders" kept a good share for themselves, being as they were natural spreaders...manure spreaders, that is!
  What resulted was the "Union of Soviet socialist Republics", ruled by communists, it kept people in fear with it's gulag of torture/death camps and lasted for over 7 decades.  Does anyone think our domestic communists, who promise so much but deliver so little...would abandon their interment camps once established ?

         better think again !

The big lie of Communism is that everything is collectively owned by the people.

Wrong!  Everything is owned/controlled by the government, and the government "allows" the people to live and work where the government tells them.

In effect the whole country becomes one big concentration camp with forced labor.

I agree with both you guys, but that pesky 2nd Amendment is going to have to be dealt with some way.  I think its gonna get messy before we march into the re-education camps.

  Right guys, those age old slogans such as "power to the people", "land to the people" and "spread the wealth'...  If they were honest, simply should be rephrased to "power to the government", "all land to the government" and " let the government spread the wealth".
  Under socialism/communism, first all the  power, land and wealth go to the government... then the government doles out bits of each in order to consolidate all the power to an elite few persons.
  That always happens in nations which have fallen to communism....look at Cuba, Venezuela, the old Soviet Union and North Korea..

TM;
  At least it works better that where "pure" communism is practiced..check with Kim Jung Il and his gang in North Korea..

  Check out these heat sensitive satellite photos of Korea at night, both south and north.  North Korea is a communist paradise, while South Kortea is what you revfer to as a "corporatocracy" or capitalism..
  Must be those North Koreans operate under candle light and cover their candles from "spy satellites".  Check it out here:

i have first hand experience with obama care. i have a really great employer but this year they are subject to the rules under obama care. our insurance agent came to the shop and informed us that our dependent insurance went up about 112 buks a month. thats over a 100 buks a month straight out of my pocket due to obamacare. ok i make around 24k a year. anybody else want to try to live on that?

i can actually live on what i make because i have built everything i own from git go and have no debt. i feel bad for those who are in my same income range and are not as well off as me.and there are lots of those folks around me.

a 100 dollar pay cut will cause a lot of people to lose what they have.

ccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

  The sad and unmentioned fact is that the $100 you pay goes directly to those who won't work and don't pay... but are given a 'subsidy" from Obamacare.

Like the man said: people don't understand federalism. They understand a check from the government.
