Dictator Mortar

I will be selling golf ball/soda can bore Dictators again in bolt together kit form.  Some hole drilling is required.  Four trunnion cap holes need to be drilled and tapped by the purchaser.   I will also have the complete welded barrel assembly available.  The bed kit sells for $250 plus $12 shipping.  Not sure of the barrel price yet but I'm guessing in the $300 range.

For how long will these be available?  Also, do you have an pictures of what they look like finished?  Might help sway the better half.

Indygunworks.  Since I am a middle man on this deal, I will sell them as long as things flow smoothly.  I've dealt with this machine shop/water jet company since 1979 and they have never let me down that I can remember.  The new plates will have the holes very close to historically correct.  I am currently working on changing the hole pattern on the side plates.  Artilleryman magazine has a good side view photo that we'll use to get the holes close. 

Here's a link to photos of two mortars I built in 2008 or 09, one soda can & one golf bore.

The new mortars will be a refined version of these.

 It looks like the golf ball bore barrel price will come in right at $300 even.  The soda can bore will be a little more and I'm waiting on that price yet.  I also have a redesign option for those who do not want to drill and tap the 4 holes through the caps and into the top edge of the 1/2" thick side plates.
I will be breaking down the prices on the bed kit for the individual components.  You can then purchase it a piece at a time as your budget allows or buy just the side plates and make the rest yourself.  The barrel will also be available as a weld together kit.  It will be a true build your own.   




Down the road....Lyle gun kits!!!   and some of the other stuff I made in the past.

Very excited about this project of yours.
I'll start saving my pennies now for a golf ball bore size barrel.
I think that is a great idea that you have about making the bed available as individual parts. I could build little by little as my budget allows.
Now if we could only get some more snow out here in Utah so I can safely burn some gunpowder out in the desert after it warms up a bit.
