A couple of years ago, basically my back yard hunting, shot a 227 pd eight pointer dressed, 26inch outside spread and 24 inch inside G2's/G3's eight inches long, I shot him off hand using a 1187 using rem sabots, got a heart shot as he was chasing five doe's, he almost ran over my blind;) he ran over sixty yards, no blood for thirty yards, half circled around, died looking in my direction laying down head up leaning ageist a tree, he was a horse of a buck, need two more guy to drag him out, I was surprised how good his meat was, I was told he was a very old buck, he had grey hairs all around his snout and neck.
