I did read where four of them are going to be Space Force military. They signed up for it.
And where the Crew Dragon might be the Space Force vehicle. Starliner a commercial capsule.

I still have the hope, faith and ambition to see mankind land on Mars in my lifetime.
That's all I want.

But the question is would you go if given the chance?

I would have to think long and hard about it.

The Moon: Without hesitation!
Mars: Too long away from family (even if it is round trip).

from what ive seen a trip to mars would about ruin a guy with todays technology. To much radiation and to much muscle mass loss and that doesn't even account for the unknown effects. Nope let someone else go to mars. Ill go to camp instead.

You bet I would but not squashed into a little capsule. The ship in The Martian would be ideal.
Along with that centrifuge gravity simulator. Ion propulsion engines could take that trip down
from nine months to four, possibly three.  And we have that technology now.
