Buffalo Classic?
« on: February 24, 2004, 08:18:16 AM »
I found a buffalo classic at a local gunshop, but thought the price was too high- $395+tax. I think I'll just get it as an accessory barrel later, as I don't think you can have barrels added to the Buffalo Classic...correct?  That gun sure looks pretty neat, and I think it would be a lot of fun on woodchucks

Bkpr, you CAN add another barrel to the Buff Classic just as you can to any other Handi....<><....

Beekeeper,
As stated you can add any barrel to a BC that any other NEF/H&R centerfire rifle receiver can accept.

The stock configuration might make it a bit awkward to shoot with a scope though.

B-keeper,
Your instincts were correct. I picked one up in January for $299.00 NIB w/case. Look around, you can do better. If you can't, let me know and I'll give you the name of the dealer I bought from. Shipping and transfer still would be cheaper.

Heck for $30 more than he wanted you could have bought mine.  (It's gone though, went for $425)

This was Lee's long range sight and yse the front is factory.  I had extra inserts for it though.  It would adjust from about 45yds to WELL over 600 with factory 405 loads.  At 600yds it was little more than half way up.

Where the extra height comes in handy is if using 500+ weight bullets, they drop a lot more.

This sight WAS $160 and $60 for Lee to install the tang, but that was about a year ago.  Workmanship was superb.

Thanks for the info.  I was thinking I couldn't have barrels put on one.  Maybe I'll take another look at that BC.

That still is a hefty price for one though!  Shop around.

Take a look at this.  Same receiver, just send it in for a BC barrel for about $110.  You then have both for the price of their one.
