Low salt diet
« on: January 28, 2020, 06:52:26 AM »
My doctors have put me on a low salt diet.  I always knew that my salt habit would someday bite me in the rear end and it's finally happened.

I've tried upping the amount of garlic, hot paprika, pepper and coriander but nothing is really cutting it.  Anybody else have this problem that can offer ideas to help?

Time may help, we slowly change our tastes, the Mrs. Dash stuff doesn't use salt from what I hear.

Try Potassium Salt, not as hard on the body as regular salt. The doctor suggested it for dad who had very bad blood pressure problems.

I find that I'm slowly getting used to low or no salt in my food.  I can't say it tastes as good but I'm getting used to it.  I checked out that Mrs Dash mix and it doesn't have any spices that I don't already use.

Not being able to salt my food sucks but I suppose I'm stuck with it...
