South or North Carolina hog Hunt
« on: January 31, 2004, 06:18:36 AM »
Looking for a place to hunt hogs in NC or SC, want to use muzzle loader and or Bow.  Can anyone recommend somewhere to hunt.  I plan to go in late February or March.

Hunt with dogs? on stand? free ganging hogs or on a preserve?

In S.C. I hunted at Bostick Plantation in Estil S.C.

they have 10,000 + acres and lots of hogs. If you choose to hunt with dogs, your hunt is no kill no pay. they also have a choice in lodging. it was a great trip.
Cheers,

Never been on a hog hunt, but I know the dog hunt is out.  Looking for a more relaxing hunt in a treestand or maybe a stalk.  Definately don't want to shoot a pig on leash.  More wild the better.  I'll see if Bostick has a web site.

Please let me know where you decided to go and how it went. I am also considering a South Carolina hog hunt in the next couple of months. I am like you; I want a relaxing hunt, not with dogs.

Thanks!
