36 caliber speed loaders
« on: June 30, 2020, 05:01:13 AM »
Does anyone know of a speed loader/ redi load for a 36 caliber muzzleloader? I can't even find a listing for one.

I'd rather not use an mt medicine bottle for powder, and an mt Altoids tin for round ball, patches, and percussion caps if I could avoid it. No listing from T/C, CVA, or Traditions at all...... (help)

I'm surprised there isn't any traditional black powder shooters on the forum. For the record, I camr acoross a suitable substitute for the speedloaders

I would have said that Dixie gun works
had what you wanted, but I looked at
their site and they didn't have doodley
scoot. They have less and less stuff every
time I look. The last time I spent the
money for one of their catalogs, I noticed
they'd dropped quite a few of the items
they've been carrying for years, particularly
knife blades. I think Dixie still has those
vinyl tubes they call loaders, but I've never
liked those at all

FWIW-  when I use my 36, I just use
a couple of 50 loaders for charges
and the patches and ball are loaded
from their normal containers
I've been meaning to make a small
loading block for 3 or 4 balls since
I've had the gun, but I never have

Thanks for the reply. I finally logged onto Track of the Wolf, and discovered they sell a  maple loading block for 36 caliber, and some clear plastic capped tubes for storing the powder. I have them ordered, and they shlould arrive sometime next week.
