That documentary may have meant well but it has so many screw-ups it reminds me of the dude during the Iraq war who kept broadcasting how Iraq was winning the war.
Please point out some of the boo-boos, I was primarily interested in showing the USS Zumwalt. I realize that some of their munitions were frightfully expensive, but they must have solved those issues.
Please post any errors and the timeline of the video where I can review them.
Firstly the commentator who was obviously just reading a script with no idea what was on the video, kept calling the Zumwalt a battleship.
The term is warship; at least he did not call the British aircraft carrier a battleship.
The main weapon the Zumwalt had was the 155mm, 6.1 inch cannon that has been cancelled.
It was supposed to be a shore bombardment weapon, that was to take the place of the TRUE battleships now retired.
Only some one in the swamp in Washington would think a 6.1 inch weapon is going to take the place of a 16 inch salvo.
it really is now a ship that is hard to see without any useful weapon.
Then he called the B-2 and F-117 fighter aircraft; the F-117 did not even have its own radar, it could do one thing, drop the two bombs in its bomb bay.
It could carry no other weapons.
After which he say a pilot took the "helm" of an F-22; maybe it can float on water too.
As much as they bragged up the F-35, it relies totally on its digital weapons; fighter pilots have that if it got into a visual range dog fight, it will probably get shot down , as SPEED is still life in a fighter and it is slow compared to any other fighter now in service.
Gee, they used a stealth sub against those technical wonder pirates.
Lastly, they speak of a Su-57 sneaking up on a U.S. aircraft while showing an SU-35.
