There has been much "SPECULATION" as to where Christ was "ACTUALLY INTERRED".
It has never been determined one way or the other.

POINT? Nobody really knows where his tomb actually is, or was. Nobody.  ;)

Correct; the actual place of Jesus' burial is a matter of speculation, as are many of the various sites where Jesus has said to have visited. In recent years, some very credible archaeologists have uncovered what is apparently "the pavement", where Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate, it was found a number of feet below the current surface.  Today, many tourists on Easter Sunday, strive to follow the 'stations' of the cross, i.e. the route Jesus took on the way to Calvary, little knowing that those "stations" were set up
 during the last couple centuries.
Many consider the actual place of the burial was in Gordon's "Garden Tomb"!  ...And that also, s just an "educated guess'!

That above mentioned site..the church of the holy sepelchure, is one of those places which has been despoiled (IMO) with gold overlays, jewels and various trappings.  I would prefer to view historical sites as close as possible to the view as it was at th ehistorical date in question.
For instance, here are some then and now photos of sites where our own civil war took place...  I think history can be better understood, when the scenes are least cluttered.

Charlie; Like you, I greatly enjoy the study  of history, especially Biblical history.  Here is a site sponsored by a society of which I kept membership for years.  Very interesting !
